A Teacher Appreciation Prayer

A TEACHER APPRECIATION PRAYER

Lord,

Thank you for your abundant goodness and the gifts you have bestowed upon your people. Today, I’d like to thank you, especially for those you have gifted to teach our children. We know that you hold a special place in your heart for children (Matthew 19:14). It is a unique calling to care for and teach our young people.

In today’s ever-challenging world, our teachers are suffering. Many are exhausted, and some are even completely burned out. I ask that you shine your light on them today. Fill them with your love and peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and help them find joy in the mission field.

Protect our teachers today and every day. Surround our schools with your angels. Please give them a hedge of protection from anyone wanting to harm any person inside their school.

May they stand firm on your Word. Please give them the wisdom to teach and lovingly communicate with students, parents, and co-workers.

When the enemy knocks at their door and tells them to give up, I pray that you will guide their steps and be a lamp unto their feet (Psalm 119:105), so that they may fulfill the calling you have placed on their hearts.

Thank you in advance for all you are about to do in the lives of teachers today.

In your precious name, I pray,

Amen.

  1. I am so excited that I found the Teacher Revival web site. As a teacher in this current climate it is often expected of us that we keep our Christian values and beliefs out of the classroom. Even though I do not overtly show my faith in my lessens, I do show my faith in the way I act and treat others, as well as have a cross on the wall and a Bible on my desk. It is exciting to see how often this encourages students to talk to me about their faith.
I was a bit surprised to find this resource in the education world, and I am so glad I did and so thankful that you created this uplifting web page.
Thank you and God Bless you.
